Copper Queen Necklace

Copper in Chrysocolla, garnet, oxidized sterling silver.

This stone is reminiscent of verdigris on metal . . . which it kind of is! 

This stone is from the Copper Queen Mine of Bisbee, Arizona, which closed in the 1970s. A lapidary recently cut an old rock that came from the mine before it closed, and I was lucky enough to get some little pieces of Bisbee’s rich mining history.

Necklace is adjustable from 22" to 24" and the pendant is 2-3/4" across by 3/4".
