Cloisonné

My mom had a passion for collecting... and cloisonné was “her thing.” I grew up looking for pieces with her at flea markets, estate sales and antique stores (as she would point out their unique details). For the uninitiated, cloisonné is a decorative enamelwork technique dating back to ancient times. Some of her pieces went back as far as the early 1800s, and she always prominently displayed them in our house. We even jokingly called our living room the "Museum Room," where there was a small cabinet filled with her collection. At times, she would create different vignettes to highlight certain ones.
